TackPay Tipping
Last updated: September 19, 2025

FareHarbor has partnered with Italian based company, TackPay. TackPay is a digital tipping platform that enables cashless tipping via QR codes or digital payment methods, with no app download required. It supports both individuals and businesses.
TackPay provides a flexible and user-friendly solution for digital tipping:
- Enable cashless tipping via QR codes, no app required.
- Supports multiple tipping models: individual, pooled, or centralized.
- Customize tip jars and branding for teams, tours, or venues.
- Track transactions and user activity with real-time dashboards.
- Offer customers a seamless tipping experience in 3 taps or fewer.
How it Works
TackPay integrates easily into your FareHarbor client flow by placing QR codes or tip links in:
- Confirmation emails
- Follow-up emails
- On-site signage (flyers, badges, posters)
- Booking flows or post-booking pages
Each business (e.g., tour operator) creates a virtual tip jar. Guides and staff can be added to this jar with individual profiles, allowing for:
- Individual tipping – a customer selects a specific staff member to receive the tip (e.g., $10 directly to a guide).
- Tip pooling – all tips go into one jar and are distributed among staff according to business-defined rules (e.g., $50 shared across the whole team – Europe only).
- Centralized tipping – all tips are collected in a single company account (e.g., $200 received for the month) and later redistributed via payroll.
For FareHarbor clients, TackPay provides:
- A 5-minute sign-up and activation process
- Market-specific logic (e.g., pooling available in Europe, individual/centralized tips only in US,Canada, Australia, Japan and Mexico)
- UTM-tracked referral links for internal visibility
This ensures operators can offer tipping options that match their workflow, while clients enjoy a modern, secure, and easy way to show appreciation.
